The invention relates to a safety device for a pipe with liquid circulation. The device comprises means (30, 31) for detecting the position of at least a part of the pipe, acting on the lever of a trigger mechanism (27) when they detect an undesired position of at least part of the pipe, the trigger mechanism (27) releasing a sprung system (23, 25) which activates shutoff means for blocking the flow of the fluid. Application: drainpipes for washing machines.
