The method includes two sheets of paper or similar material (1,2) being placed against each other and glued or heat-welded to each other. One sheet extends partially beyond the other at least one end to define a flap (21) along on longitudinal edge of the bag defined by the sheets.The connection between the sheets defines a single longitudinal joint (3) along one edge, with a series of transverse joints (4) regularly spaced along the length of the bag to define a series of compartments (5). The transverse edges of the bag are also glued or welded to each other to close the outer compartments.
