The device includes two cellular wheels (2/4), which can be driven so as to rotate about a central shaft (3; 5) in each case and have cells (25; 35) for one product (P) in each case which are arranged around the shaft in question and are separated from one another by means of spokes (23/33). Assigned to the spokes (22; 33) are blades which rotate together with the cellular wheel (2; 4) in question. To each set of rotating blades (26; 36) there is assigned at least one stationary counterblade (29; 39) which is connected to a guiding element (46). The guiding element (46) is guided on a running surface (47) of the associated cellular wheel (2; 4) and ensures that a certain cutting gap (S) between the associated counterblade (29; 39) and the rotating blades (26; 36) cooperating with the latter is precisely observed.
