Transmission system for optical signals

Monomode fibres (7) are used as light conductors. Laser diodes (6), with a max. wavelength of 900 nm, are used as optical transmitters.The laser diode and monomode fibre are attached together merely by a guide fixed to the laser diode or fixed to a housing (8) surrounding the laser diode, without focussing elements. Pref., the front end of the fibre lies on the laser diode or its housing.
