An electromagnetic relay has a yoke (28) with a coil core (27) on which a magnet coil (18) is located. Fixed contacts (3, 10) are mounted on either side of a flap armature element (6) that is mounted such that it pivots about one edge when the coil is energised. The armature has contact pads (4a, 4b) at the ends.Electrical connections to the coil and the contacts are via pins (2, 7, 8) mounted within the base plate. The L-shaped yoke (28) has a section (17) that fits into a formed groove and can be adjusted.
