Two suspended weights (2) are connected to each other by a rigid connector (3) which is outside the weights axis (4) of the dumbbell (1). The connector is set far enough outside the dumbbell so that the user can move freely with it without the vertical line of the centre of gravity (6b) of the body staying on the centre of the weights axis (5).The connector is an open or closed frame in the shape of a circle or circular segments. Alternatively, the frame may be of two long parallel sections, with the suspended weights, each having rounded ends for connection to the other. There are two grips (7) provides on the frame.
