Transferring containers horizontally between loading planes

The loading planes (3) of the vehicles (1,2) or of the vehicle and a ramp (9) are connected together by pull-out bridging beams (5) which are stored in the loading planes and span the distance between the planes and compensate any height difference. These bridging beams have on their top side slide tracks (15) over which the containers are moved by horizontal conveyors.The bridging beams are held in guides (7) mounted in the loading planes. During transfer of the containers the slide tracks hold the corner fitments of the containers. The ramps can be formed by portable blocks.
