摘要

The improvement in a dye-receiving element for thermal dye transfer is that the image-receiving layer contains a miscible blend of (A) an unmodified bisphenol-A polycarbonate; and (B) a polyether-modified polycarbonate comprising a block copolymer of polyether block units and bisphenol-A polycarbonate block units. Pref. (A): (B) wt. ratio is 80:20-10:90, pref. 50:50-40:60. (A) has no mol.wt. at least 25,000. (B) is of formula (I) with the polyether block of no mol.wt. 4,000-50,000 and the polycarbonate block of no mol.wt. 15,000-250,000, m = 60-1,000; and n = 90-1,000.
