<p>PURPOSE:To cool a drill sufficiently, and sufficiently discharge chips and toxic gas generated. CONSTITUTION:A telescoping cylinder 4 comprises a base cylinder 5 fixed to a drilling machine main body and a movable cylinder 24 connected to the base cylinder 5 telescopically. The top end 24b of the movable cylinder 24 surrounds a drill 3, and a spiral groove 25 is cut in the inner wall of the cylinder. A cooled air of 2 to -15 deg.C is blown from a blowing tube 28 to a drill 3 and a cutting section through blowing openings 26 and 27. The blown cool air collides with the drill 3 and a work, rises, and is sucked from a suction tube 31 together with chips and toxic gas. A part of the cool air rises spirally along the spiral groove 25 and, due to the spiral rise, chips, etc., adhered onto the inner wall surface fall off, and the surrounding air rises.</p> |
