PURPOSE:To fade a screen by the image processor, which can put plural images together according to their display priority, without using a dedicated device which performs the fading analogically. CONSTITUTION:A register wherein the transparency of an image is set is provided and plural image data are processed according to the value in the register, and superimposed and displayed together. For example, when a YUV display system which have Y data of the image data as brightness information, U data as blue-yellow color difference information, and V data as red-green color difference information is based upon data Ya, Ua, and Va of planes to be superimposed and data Yb, Ub, and Vb of planes on which the planes are to be superimposed, arithmetic results Y, U, and V of cellophane arithmetic, which is performed, dot by dot, to be displayed on the screen are determined by Y= my.Ya+ny.YbU=mu.(Ua-80h)+nu.(Ub-80h)+80hV=mv.(Va-80h)+ nv.(Vb-80h)+80h, where coefficients my, mu, mv, ny, nv, and nu are cellophane coefficients for determining the transparency of the screen. |
