PURPOSE:To provide a camshaft assembly device which can smoothly insert a camshaft into a cylinder head. CONSTITUTION:A movable base 15 is installed in a shiftable manner along the first guide member 12 installed on a base body 11. The first unit 25 and the second unit 26 are installed in a shiftable manner on the movable base 15. The first and the second units 25 and 26 are equipped with supporting shafts 46 and 146 and guide cylinders 75 and 175 which can shift in the axis direction for the supporting shafts 46 and 146. The guide cylinders 75 and 175 are installed in a displacement enabled manner in the floating mode permitting the shift in the radial direction for the supporting shafts 46 and 146 and the lock mode in which the shift in the radial direction is impossible, and driven in the floating mode and locking mode by the selecting actuators 65 and 165. |
