The method includes glass panels (10) being set in frames (T) on the building structure with sealing material (16) interposed between two window panes (12,14). Reinforcing materials are incorporated in the sealing material (16) in the form of a box interposed between the two panes. The panel (10) is fixed onto the frame (T) by screws (20) which engage in the reinforced sealing material (16).The reinforcing material is introduced into the sealing material when it is already in position but before it has hardened. The materials used for reinforcing comprise one or several of the following materials: metallic spheres, nylon or metallic cloth, glass wool, small plates or drilled metallic sections.
