The module with a hard resin sealing disc, holding the fibres in place and forming a leaktight joint between disc and casing, has a coating of flexible resin applied to a groove machined in the casing. The flexible resin coating can tolerate shrinkage, mechanical forces, etc., which cause fractures at the sealing disc and casing joint in conventional filters.
