PYROELECTRIC PORCELAIN COMPOSITION

PURPOSE:To reduce a dielectric noise and a popping noise both resulting from a sudden temperature-change in a device by specifying the composition of a pyroelectric porcelain composition. CONSTITUTION:The main component of a pyroelectric porcelain composition is composed of Pb(NbalphaSm1-alpha)O3, PbZrO3 respectively, with the subsidiary component thereof composed of MnO2 and MgO. When the main component is represented by a chemical formula of Pb{Pb(NbalphaSn1-alpha)xZryTiz}O3 on the assumption that x+y+z=1, it has the composition that satisfies the conditions given below: 1/6<=sigma<=5/6; 0.01<=x<=0.15; 0.65<=y<=0.95; and 0.05<=z<=0.35. As the subsidiary components 0.5 to 3.0mol% of MnO2 and 1.0 to 15.0mol% of MgO are respectively contained with respect to the main component in the pyroelectric porcelain composition.
