The intermittent or continuous operation of the wiper motor (M) is achieved through a control unit (2) operated by the driver's switch (3a), in conjunction with end-of-travel limit switches (3b) and associated reversing relays (2a, 2b). Timing is controlled by two oscillators, one (4) determining the intermittent action (Int), and the other (5) the braking of the motor at the end-of-travel position, using an armature short-circuit (C.c,2c).
