<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate the input of coordinates by displaying an area close to a holding member which holds two transparent plates and then performing the input of coordinate with the display of the area used as a guideline. CONSTITUTION:When an input mode is not a continuous input mode, an input limit display area of a touch panel 2 is displayed. That is, the input limit area around a dot spacer 23 serving as a member which secures a space between both transparent plates 21 and 22 of the panel 2 is displayed. Therefore, it is psychologically difficult for the user of a coordinate input device to input the coordinates in the input limit area. If the input mode is identical with a continuous input mode, it is decided whether the coordinate has been inpputted from the panel 2 or not. If so, a touch panel input flag is set. Then, it is checked whether the position of coordinates inputted from the panel 2 is included in the input limit area or not. If so, the input data are invalidated and a touch panel input state is waited for.</p> |
