DEVELOPING METHOD WITH ONE COMPONENT DEVELOPER

PURPOSE:To provide a contact developing method with a one component developer by which image density is maintained even in continuous printing over a long period of time and a recovered toner can be reutilized. CONSTITUTION:A toner as a one-component developer contg. at least a thermoplastic resin having about >=1m10<15>OMEGAcm volume resistivity, an electrostatic charge stabilizer having 1X10<5>-1X10<12>OMEGAcm volume resistivity, a colorant and 0.05-5wt.% fine metal oxide particles having 1X10<5>-1X10OMEGAcm volume resistivity and 0.05-1.0mum average particle diameter is held on a toner carrier whose surface is electrically conductive at least in a developing field and the toner is brought into contact with an electrostatic latent image formed on an electrostatic latent image carrier. The toner is then electrostatically charged mainly by electrostatic induction or dielectric polarization in an electric field formed by the latent image and the latent image is made visible.
