<p>PURPOSE:To obtain an excellent sound insulating effect by forming a sound insulating cover, applied to the pipe fitting of a supply/discharge water pipe, into a two-split structure of an outer shell consisting of vinyl chloride resin composition containing barium sulfate and an inner shell consisting of foaming vinyl chloride resin composition or the like. CONSTITUTION:A cover is formed into a double layer structure of an inner shell 10 serving as a sound absorbing layer and an outer shell 20 serving as a sound insulating layer, and the outer shell 20 is formed of vinyl chloride resin composition of charge adding 200 to 1000 pts.wt. barium sulfate and 30 to 100 pts.wt. plasticizer relating to 100 pts.wt. vinyl chloride resin. The inner shell 10 is formed foaming vinyl chloride resin composition or foaming polystyrene composition. The sound insulating cover P thus obtained is fixed in such a way that it is longitudinally driving in its axial direction and after being arranged about a drain pipe fitting A, a seam part (p), left in a longitudinally divided part of the sound insulating cover P, is filled with sound insulating putty (a), and an adhesive vinyl tape T is wound around above the putty.</p> |
