A coin controlled lock unit operates with a single entry point and two different sizes of coin that are distinguished from each other. The slot is formed with an internal angled surface (2) that is sized to support the larger coin on an angle. The smaller coin (3) sits in the central space on a flat, horizontal surface. In both instances the coins are centrally located and engaged the lock mechanism (5).
