Gear-type engine oil pump

A first gear (4) coaxial to the camshaft (2) is driven by it, and meshes with a second one (5) on a rotating parallel shaft (6), so that together they form the oil pump. The gears can work in a housing in which the suction and pressure sides of the pump are formed. One of the gears is fixed to the camshaft, so as to form a thrust bearing for it in the housing. There can also be a radial-load bearing (15) in the housing for the camshaft.
