PURPOSE:To obtain a wireless type device, by connecting the leads of a lead frame to a fancy paper strip-like luminous pellet beltlike body, and by separating the beltlike body into pellets. CONSTITUTION:n-Type and p-type epitaxial layers 11, 12 are stacked on an n-type GaP 10, electrodes 13, 14 are manufactured on the layers 10, 12 and a fancy paper strip-like luminous pellet beltlike body 16 with fixed dimensions is cut out from one wafer. Kerfs 19 are mounted to the beltlike body 16. Comb-tooth-like leads 20b projected from a support band 20a are placed on the beltlike body 16, and integrally fastened and connected. Leads 23 to which pellets 22 are attached are obtained by removing and separating the support band 20a of a frame. The leads are put on comb-tooth-like leads 24b projected from a support band 24a, and the leads 24b are integrally sticked and connected to the leads 23 and the pellets 22. The support band 24a is removed and the remainder is sealed 26 with resin. The treatment of minute pellets is facilitated by means of this method, and a LED causing no disconnection accidents is obtained. |
