PURPOSE:To obtain a base fabric for a paraglider markedly increased in tear strength by applying a specific amount of a synthetic polymer to a polyester or polyamide fabric to which a specific amt. of a flexible finish agent is applied. CONSTITUTION:A polyester or polyamide fabric to which 0.001-0.5gm<2> of a flexible finish agent is applied is coated with 0.5-20g/m<2> of a synthetic polymer to obtain a base fabric for a paraglider having a rip-stop structure. The fabric is composed of the polyester or polyamide fabric and, as the fiber constituting the fabric, a fiber with single fiber fineness of 0.5-20denier and yarn size of 10-50 denier is pref. used. As a flexible finish agent, a polyester emulsion, a polyethylene emulsion or a silicone emulsion can be designated. |
