<p>PURPOSE:To try to save labor by automating a process in which liquid is applied on a tire by constructing an apparatus in which brushes are moved from liquid to go over a carcass face of the upper surface of the tire and to return into the liquid when a rod is reciprocated by a transfer mechanism. CONSTITUTION:Soapy water, a liquid to be applied, is placed in a container 1 with its upper side opened so that press-fitting resistance is reduced when a wheel is press-fitted into a tire W in a post process. Brushes 5a, 5b with their peripheral surfaces which are a little larger than the inside surface of the bead of the tire W are installed to be reciprocated vertically by air cylinders 4a, 4b. When a sensor detects that the tire W is transferred by a conveyer C to a specified position in an applicator, then a motor M is stopped and the brushes 5a, 5b are moved vertically by the air cylinders 4a, 4b through rods 2a, 2b. In this way, the soapy water held in the brushes 5a, 5b is applied on ears W', W'' which are placed respectively on the upper and lower sides of the tire W.</p> |
