A water-sensitive ceramic powder, in particular aluminium nitride, is provided with a hydrophobic coating. The coated powder is dispersed in water with addition of a nonionic surfactant selected from the group of ethylene oxide adducts having an HLB value of from 10 to 14 together with a binder. Subsequently the aqueous slip is processed into a flowable (free-flowing) granulated powder. The nonionic surfactant, which is used in an amount sufficient to form a monomolecular coating, makes possible good dispersion of the hydrophobically coated powder in water. |
