PURPOSE:To miniaturize a printer and to make it thin by providing a printing head to a position inside a paper conveyance passage, through which sheets of recording paper inserted from above are conveyed to delivery rollers. CONSTITUTION:A sheet of recording paper P, inserted from above, is conveyed through a space between a platen 7 and a printing head 31 by operation of a sheet-feeding mechanism 10, and printing is made thereon. After the printing, the printed sheet of recording paper P is delivered upward by operation of delivery rollers 20 through a passage that is different from the passage for the recording paper between the platen 7 and the printing head 31. In the case of the printer described herein, the printing head 31 is arranged inside the passage leading to the delivery rollers 20 for conveyance of the recording paper P inserted from above. Thereby, the space inside the passage can be used effectively as the printing head 31 is arranged in the space inside the paper conveyance passage, and the printer can be miniaturized as the space outside the paper conveyance passage is reduced. |
