PURPOSE: To provide a system for recirculating a part of the exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle. CONSTITUTION: An engine 1 includes a recirculation duct 5 and a valve 6. A means for controlling the opening of the valve comprises a stepping electric motor 8, converters 19-22 capable of converting the angular displacement of an output shaft 9 of the electric motor to relative axial displacement of the valve, a conductor 16 connecting the electric motor to a vehicle carried battery 7, a relay 17 arranged to control the energizing of the motor by the battery in response to the electric signal generated by a processor 4, and a spring 23 pressing the valve to a closure position. |
