PURPOSE:To provide a process for the treatment of a polyester fiber cord for the reinforcement of rubber, capable of moderately softening the cord by ordinary softening treatment, exhibiting high adhesivity and giving a product having high quality. CONSTITUTION:A polyester fiber cord is treated with a pretreating solution containing a surfactant, immediately treated with a 1st bath containing an epoxy compound, a blocked isocyanate compound and a rubber latex, heat- treated, treated with a 2nd bath composed of a rubber latex and a precondensate of resorcinol and formaldehyde, heat-treated again and subjected to softening treatment. |
