PURPOSE:To provide a composite ceramic material capable of densely sintering readily even in case a ceramic whisker is added and of reproducibly and uniformly manifesting a composition effect such as high toughness. CONSTITUTION:A composite ceramic material containing a matrix 1 composed of a ceramic material and a ceramic whisker 2 dispersed in the matrix 1. The ceramic whisker 2 is dispersed in the form of an aggregate 3. The size of the whisker aggregate 3 is, e.g. <=500mum. |
