An apparatus for varying an adaptive band according to a noise level is disclosed including an image signal processing circuit for processing input image signal, a noise detecting circuit for detecting the noise level of horizontal synchronizing signal, a control signal generating circuit for generating gain control signal corresponding to the noise level, and a variable band restricting circuit for filtering the image signal processed from the image signal processing circuit to at least more than one frequency pass band and varying an entire frequency pass band, thereby minimizing noise.
