Machine tool for sharpening broaches designed for sharpening broaches, comprising a mandrel, to which the broach to be sharpened is fixed, which mandrel is rotated, the broach being sharpened against a sharpening wheel. The angle of the machine can be adjusted, varying the angle of incidence of the broach on the sharpening wheel, which makes it possible to set up the desired sharpening angle. The machine tool has a cam whose design forces the broach to advance and retreat as it rotates during its sharpening, thereby achieving a desired cutting angle. <IMAGE>
