Centrifugal casting installation - has a tiltable crucible on a rotating arm

The centrifugal casting installation (10) incorporates an arm (11) which (by means of a drive) is rotatable about a vertical axis. In the end region of the arm there is casting moulds, while between the mould and the axis of rotation there is a seating for a crucible (46). The characteristic feature of the installation is the fact that the crucible - which is a hollow body with an opening (48) at top for entry of melt is tiltable. The crucible seating is tiltable relative to the arm (11). The crucible is fixed in the seating, pref. against turning and falling out. The seating is tiltable to a certain limit inclination of the crucible in the direction of the mould. USE/ADVANTAGE - In metal casting industries. The appts. ensures reliable and fault-free centrifugal casting.
