A one-way roller clutch (10) has a plurality of rollers (16) disposed between an inner race (12) and an outer race (14), one of which has camming surfaces (24). The rollers (16) are individually located in pockets - e.g. defined by fingers (34) - of a phasing cage (17) which is biased by a plurality of energizing springs (20) - e.g. supported by an anchor cage (18) fixed to the race (14) with the camming surfaces (24) - towards a clutch engaged position in which the rollers (16) are moved in unison to wedge between the races (12,14). <IMAGE> |
