PURPOSE:To realize a system for providing information to achieve or reach various kinds of purposes and destinations by optimum routes and means quickly by developing a satellite with position-measurement, communication, and broadcasting functions, confirming current positions by position measurement, and then receiving image information instructed by transmission/reception and broadcasting function of information by communication functions. CONSTITUTION:A satellite 1 combining broadcasting, communication, position- measurement transmission/reception is developed for obtaining position information and at the same time communication reception functions such as communication, facsimile, message, image data, video data, and photo are achieved. A position information system terminal 8 is provided with the reception and display functions of three-dimensional building shape map information, a combination function of aircraft road map information and traffic jam information display, instructs optimum road information/direction when a destination is input, at the same time instructs current positions and directions with arrows on a map display panel. Also, various pieces of information available in a position information system center can be received. |
