PURPOSE:To enable heating and cooking to be undertaken in a good condition by automatically controlling a heating process under a proper heating condition, even when a pan size is substantially changed. CONSTITUTION:This cooker is provided with an inverter 15 having a heating coil 11, a transistor 13, a dumper diode 14 or the like, and also fitted with the first converter 16 for detecting input current to the inverter 15. Furthermore, the damper diode 14 is fitted with the second converter 23 for detecting current and a microcomputer 18 (control and memory means) for controlling the inverter 15 is provided. This microcomputer 18 saves judgement data to discriminate the material and size of a pan, on the basis of an input current detection signal and damper diode current detection signal, and performs heating control under a heating condition suitable for the discriminated pan material and size. |
