PURPOSE:To provide the speech recognizing device which can shorten matching processing time and can reduce cost or the like. CONSTITUTION:This device outputs the result by matching a standard pattern inside a standard pattern storage part 4 with a newly extracted feature pattern at a matching part 3, is provided with a high-speed memory part 5 provided between the matching part 3 and the standard pattern storage part 4 so as to access data in the standard pattern storage part 4 and a host device control part 6 for controlling the access of this high-speed memory part 5, loads only the standard pattern of a matching object word designated by a signal from the host device control part 6 by using the high-speed memory part 5 and sends this loaded standard pattern to the matching part 3.
