PURPOSE:To extend the communicatable area of a mobile station by providing a repeater station connected to a base station by radio. CONSTITUTION:In a cordless telephone system, repeater system is installed between a base station CS connected to a telephone line and a mobile station PS, and stations CS and PS are connected by radio. The repeater system is provided with a base station-side communication control means PS part and a mobile station-side communication control means CS part, and prescribed data required for repeating is transmitted between them to repeat the communication between the base station CS and the mobile station PS. Thus, the controller of the base station is connected by radio to effectively extend the commuicatable area of the mobile station.
