<p>PURPOSE:To dissolve visual unnaturalness caused by difference of displaying capability of both display elements, by varying a duty for driving of display elements for character patterns from that of display elements for a fixed pattern. CONSTITUTION:A duty of each signal of common positions COMM1-COMM4 is same as that of each signal of common COM1-C0M32, since terminals COMM 1-C0MM4 out of a common signal input terminal group 106 of a common signal selecting circuit 105 are inputted to an OR gate 107, a signal duty of the terminal COMM of a common signal input terminal group 101 to which an output of the OR gate 107 is inputted is made an added value of each signal duty of each terminal COMM1-C0MM4, that is, in this case, 4 times. Consequently, a fixed pattern LCD 104 is driven with a duty of 4 times of a duty with which a character pattern dot LCD 103 is driven.</p> |
