The motor control apparatus and method using one chip is includes a key input portion for determining a motor rotation direction; a code converter for converting a signal from the key input portion to a constant signal; a central processing unit for generating a motor driver enable signal and a displayer driving enable signal; a first decoder for decoding the motor driver enable signal; a clock generator for generating a constant clock signal; a motor driver for transmitting the clock signal to a motor; first to fourth motor connectors connected to the motor driver; first and second demultipliers for demultiplying the clock signal; second and third decoders; and a displayer for displaying a motor driving state, thereby accurately controlling linear and stepping motors to a desired position.
