PURPOSE:To prevent an excess voltage from being impressed on parts used for a horizontal deflection circuit or the like by preventing the peak voltage of a fly-back pulse from being boosted more than a prescribed level. CONSTITUTION:On a horizontal deflection circuit 2 which deflects the beam currents of a CRT to a horizontal direction by allowing tooth-shaped currents to flow through a horizontal deflection yoke 5, a diode 3 whose anode side is connected with the output circuit of the horizontal deflection circuit 2, and whose cathode side is connected through a capacitor 4 with a ground is provided. Then, a peak cut is operated so that the peak voltage of the fly-back pulse generated in a fly-back period can be prevented from being boosted more than the prescribed level. |
