PURPOSE:To provide a gas-laser apparatus wherein a gas flow inside a discharge tube is provided with a velocity vector in the cross-sectional direction of the discharge tube, the distribution of a small signal gain inside the cross section of the discharge tube is made uniform and a large-output and uniform laser output beam mode is radiated. CONSTITUTION:In a gas-laser oscillation apparatus, a laser gas is made to flow to a discharge tube 1 by a blower 13, a high-frequency electric field or a high-frequency magnetic field is applied by electrodes 2, 3 or a waveguide from the outside of the discharge tube 1 arranged on the same axis as an optical axis, a discharge is generated and a laser beam 8 is radiated to the axial direction of the discharge tube 1. In the gas-laser oscillation apparatus, a velocity vector in the cross-sectional direction of the discharge tube 1 is given to a gas flow inside the discharge tube 1. By this constitution, a beam mode close to a Gaussian mode can be obtained even in a state that a a discharge is not spread. |
