PURPOSE:To provide an optical pickup device which is provided with a function to adjust the optical path of a beam outgoing from a light source and the moving direction of an objective lens to be parallel with each other in order to stabilize the optical path of the reflected light from an optical disk. CONSTITUTION:A carriage 6, which is provided with an objective lens 5 on a seek base 7 and is capable of linearly moving on a seek rail 8, 8, is provided; and in addition, a polarizing prism 4, which is for guiding to a reflection mirror parallel beams outgoing from a fixed optical system 2 that is fixed on a drive base 14, is fixed on the seek base 7. This seek base 7 is provided with a protrusion downward on the fixed part of the polarizing prism 4, and by inserting this protrusion into a reference hole provided on the drive base 14, the seek base 7 is installed rotatably. Then, by rotating the seek base 7, the adjustment is made possible in which the optical path of the outgoing beam of the fixed optical system 2 and the moving direction of the objective lens 5 are parallel with each other. |
