摘要 The radar system derives distance data for distance between the vehicle radar system and an object in the detection region. A curve detector determines the gradient of a street or road on which the system vehicle travels. A probability determiner calculates the probability that the detected object is a vehicle. The probability is determined based on distance data and curve or gradient data. The rate of change of object speed is determined to determine the required speed of the system vehicle. A laser beam or EM wave is used to determine the distance to an object in front of the system vehicle. ADVANTAGE - Minimises errors due to detection of vehicles on different road lane, advertising boards, street signs, lamp posts, etc..
