摘要 The nozzle (12) has an inlet opening at one end and an outlet opening at the other end. It is positioned so that the distance between the outlet opening and surface being cleaned is between 1.27 and 2.54 cm. A volume of pressurised fluid is then forced through the nozzle so that the fluid leaves the outlet as a high pressure flat jet which is guided over the surface at a rate of between 10.16 and 40.64 m/min. The nozzle can have an outer surface and inner surface. The inner surface is defined by a conical bore extending through the nozzle from the inlet to the outlet end. A wedge like slit or notch extends from the outlet end to the inlet end so that the shape of the outlet opening is defined by the conical bore crossing the slit which causes the emerging pressurised fluid to leave with a linear contact force.
