The embossing press (1) provides individual, round shoulder letters, numbers, figures or prefab plates while a paint applicator (2) provides colouring of the embossed number plates by a plastics foil strip (24) with hot separating paint. Pref. the embossing press is of eccentric, hand actuated type. The paint applicator is typically of printing press type with an electrically heated printing stamp (13). It has a press frame (15) with a manual eccentric drive (17) for vertical stamp lowering and tensile spring (19) resetting after back work stroke into the starting position. Under the stamp is located a deposition table (20). The stamp has a support plate (21) with a winding bobbin (22) for the plastics foil strip. ADVANTAGE - Simple, low-cost design, suitable for small works.
