The tank wall has a static outer wall (8) spaced partly apart from an inner wall (9), so that the tank, at least in parts, is double walled. The space (10) between the walls incorporates a vacuum control (11). The inner wall (9) has several overlapping plates (12) welded together by seams (13,14) so that they are vacuum sealed. The group of plates is welded on one side to the tank base by a bottom sealing seam (16), and on the other side to the inside of the outer wall by a top sealing seam (15). USE/ADVANTAGE - The tank wall is automatically checked for leaks so that dangerous liquid does not seep out of the tank into the ground water.
