PURPOSE:To acquire a cathode-ray tube with no generation of surface flaking or resin crack, by reducing the remaining styrene monomar after the hardening of the unsaturated polyester resin. CONSTITUTION:The unsaturated polyester resin used for an adhesive is processed to remain styrene monomer of less than 6wt% after the hardening reaction. With such a remaining quantity, it is preferable to prevent generation of the screen defection, and to keep a property of an adhesive. If the hardening is promoted 100%, with no remaining styrene monomer, the hardness and adhesion are increased, but flexibility is deteriorated, and when exposed at a high temperature, it will cause to generate surface flaking or resin crack over the face plate or the front panel. Therefore, the remaining amount of less than 6wt% should never be 0wt%. |
