PURPOSE: To protect a motor for a freezing chamber fan drive assembly against low temperature atmosphere and at the same time facilitate either maintenance or a replacement of the fan drive assembly. CONSTITUTION: A fan assembly installed and set at a wall part 2 of a freezing chamber is provided with a thermal insulating fitting member 1. The fitting member 1 has a hole 4 of shape fitted to an opening formed at the wall part of the freezing chamber and extending between an outer surface 5 and an inner surface 6. Further, there are provided a motor 7 removably attached to the outer surface of the fitting member 1 in which its motor output shaft 8 is extended into the hole of the fitting member 1, and a vane wheel device 10 removably attached to the inner surface of the fitting member 1. The vane wheel device 10 includes a thermal-insulating vane wheel shaft 12 inserted into the hole of the fitting member 1. The vane wheel shaft 12 is engaged with a motor output shaft 8 in such a way that a driving force can be transmitted. A size of the fitting member 1 is set to be larger than that of the vane wheel device 10 and it can be removed from the freezing chamber without disassembling the fan assembly. |
