MOLDING METHOD OF FIBER-REINFORCED THERMOPLASTIC RESIN STAMPABLE SHEET

PURPOSE:To reduce nonuniformity in the strength of a molded article of a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin stampable sheet and to make the strength stable. CONSTITUTION:On the occasion when a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin stampable sheet is melted by heating and a molded article having a U-shaped section is molded by a projectionrecession mold, the width of a blank material of the fiberreinforced thermoplastic resin stampable sheet is made larger than the width of the fore end face of a projection of a projection die and smaller than that of an opening of a recession die. The blank material is so disposed as to be positioned at the center of the fore end face of the projection of the projection die and is molded.
