PURPOSE:To reliably cushion and fix illuminating shades by using a simple corner protecting member made of corrugated board, reduce the production cost and enhance suitability of recycling a packaging material. CONSTITUTION:A corner protecting member 1 is a square-cylindrical cushioning member made by punching the cardboard of corrugated board and the like. A cut hole 30 connected to three adjacent faces 20 to 22 among four faces 20 to 23 constituting the outer circumference of a square cylinder is provided at the central part of the cylinder 5 to form six parted faces (20 to 22) and one continuous face 23. By this method, the square cylinder 5 is made foldable. Further, a tongue piece projecting from the continuous face in parallel therewith is provided at the central part of the continuous face 23 so as to be connected to the face, and flat surface parts 25, 26, whose top ends are projected from the square cylinder 5 when the tongue piece is folded at right angles with the continuous face 23, are provided on both sides of the tongue piece. respectively, so as to be connected to the piece. Thus, the appearance is good as the corner protecting member 1. |
