PURPOSE:To provide a release film having excellent antistatic properties and releasability and useful for a polarizing plate. CONSTITUTION:A release film for a polarizing plate having antistatic properties and releasabllity is obtained by providing a film composed of a mixture of an antistatic agent composed of one or more kind of a cation anhydride and condensation curable silicone on at least the single surface of a plastic film and characterized by that the surface resistivity is 5X10<8>-5X10<13>OMEGA/square.
